Prayer Spotlight: Princeton First Church of God

About our spotlight church:

First Church of God in Princeton, WV was established in 1900. We have a beautiful campus and facility on Mahood Avenue that is full of distinctive character and charm.

Ray Jones has been serving as Senior Pastor since 2019 and has done a wonderful job of loving and serving his flock. He and his homemade peanut butter chocolate-chip cookies are beloved at First Church.

Kassie Conner became our Children and Families’ pastor in 2022 after serving as a volunteer in the ministry for several years. We are thrilled to watch how God is blessing our budding Children’s Ministry.

Heather Arnold has been our Church Secretary since 2018, but she holds many other titles, as well. She is always willing to jump in wherever she is needed and do work for God’s Kingdom.

First Church of God exists to make more and better disciples of Jesus Christ. We work to live out the greatest commandment to love God and our neighbor by being a help to our congregation and community alike. Our prayer is that we may be able to identify and meet as many physical and spiritual needs as possible, the obvious ones as well as the unconventional ones.

Join us as we pray specifically for:

That God would give us favor with the people in the community that we are seeking to reach with the Gospel.

That God would send (or raise up) the right Worship Leader to serve the congregation.

That God would allow our aging congregation to welcome younger families.

That God would encourage more volunteers to help in the ministries involved at First Church.

What is Praying for our Churches About?

The purpose of Praying for our Churches is to help us get better acquainted with our fellow congregations and to be able to share specific prayer concerns with one another so we can lift our churches in prayer.
